Yields4 Servings

 5 cups Whole Wheat Flour
 3 cups White Flour
 ½ cup Oil
 ½ cup Honey
 2 tbsp Yeast
 4.50 cups Very Warm Water
 1.50 tbsp salt
 1 cup warm water
 2 tbsp Dough Enhancer (Optional)
 3 cups White Flour
1 cup Extra white flour for rolling, mixing, etc.

1

If you are living in a dry climate or the relative humidity in your home is low, it can help to set a large pot of water on the stove and set it to boil before you begin. This increases the humidity in the kitchen and can aid in rising.

2

Combine wheat flour and first white flour on the ingredient list (3 cups in a single batch). Add yeast, and mix briefly.

3

Add oil, honey, and first water ingredient on the list (4.5 cups of very warm water in a single batch). Mix. Turn off mixer, cover, and let sit for 10 minutes to allow sponging.

4

Add Salt, second water ingredient on the list (1 cup warm water in a single batch), dough enhancer (optional), and second white flour on the ingredient list (3 cups in a single batch).

5

Mix, then slowly add white flour until a medium consistency is reached and it starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl. Then mix for 7 minutes.

6

Grease counter with crisco, then divide into five evenly sized lumps of dough (for a single batch). Knead each lump of dough into loaves. Place each loaf in a bread pan. Set oven to 350 degrees. Let loaves rise for approximately 45 minutes.

7

Bake loaves for 30 minutes. Immediately remove loaves onto cooling racks after removing from the oven. Enjoy!
